Hashimania uses its own cookie to manage your session and protect account operations. It also saves some of your game preferences in this browser.

Optional Google sign-in

When you press “Continue with Google”, we redirect you to Google to identify you. During this process, we temporarily store security information in the session and, if registration is incomplete, the name, email and identifier we receive. The sign-in attempt expires after 10 minutes. Temporary data is deleted when sign-in is completed or, if you abandon it, when the session is deleted under the time limits below. We do not store Google tokens in your browser or load its sign-in screen before you request it. Google may use its own cookies on its domain; see its cookie information. This sign-in method is independent of your analytics choice.

What we store in your browser

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 only loads if you accept analytics in the cookie notice. It helps us understand visits, game usage and returning players. It collects browser identifiers, device information, pages and game actions such as starting, finishing, attempts and time. We do not send your name, email, photo, password or solutions. We do not enable advertising features or Google Signals. If you reject analytics, we do not load Google Analytics or send data to Google for this purpose.

Your choice is retained for 180 days. You can accept, reject or withdraw it using the “Change preferences” button on this page, accessible through “Cookies” in the page footer. Withdrawing consent stops future transmissions and removes accessible analytics cookies from this site; it does not delete data already sent. See how Google uses information.

How to manage them

When signing in with a password, “Remember me” is optional and unchecked by default. With Google, we remember your sign-in for up to 30 days, renewed when you use your account. You can sign out through the account menu to stop remembering it and change sound using the speaker icon. Your browser settings let you delete Hashimania cookies and data or block them. Deleting them may sign you out and reset this device’s preferences; it does not delete your account or progress saved on the server. Blocking cookies may prevent account access.

Data and purposes

To create and manage your account, we use your chosen name, email and password, which we protect using a hash. A photo is optional: you can change or remove it. We save your progress, results, attempts, times, game preferences and tutorial completion to provide the service.

Your name, photo if provided, rank, level and results may appear on leaderboards. Your email and password are not shown to other players. We retain the dates of changes to your daily email setting to manage that choice. Your name can be an alias; only use photos you have the right to share.

We also process contact requests, replies, profile review status and records needed for security and operation. We use cookies and local storage described in the cookie policy.

Google sign-in (optional)

If you choose to continue with Google, we receive your verified email, name and Google account identifier to identify you and create or link your account. You can change the name displayed in the game. We do not import your photo or receive your Google password. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or other content. We retain the Google identifier while your account remains linked, so we can recognise your account without duplicating progress. You can request its removal at info@hashimania.com and set a password using account recovery.

Sign-in only starts when you press the button and works even if you reject Google Analytics. Google provides its authentication service and processes sign-in data according to its privacy policy, including information on international transfers and their safeguards. Managing your account and the link you request is necessary to provide this sign-in method.

Legal basis for processing

Managing your account and game features is necessary to provide the service you request. Security and moderation are based on the legitimate interest in protecting the service and its users. We only email the daily puzzle if you opt in; you can withdraw that choice through your profile or the unsubscribe link in each email. Confirmation, recovery and enquiry response emails form part of the features you request.

Providers and recipients

Hostinger provides hosting and email. The game server is in Paris and VPS backups are in the Netherlands. Email, support and subprocessors may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards set out in its contract. See its data processing information, including subprocessors and international transfer safeguards. We do not sell your data or use personalised advertising. If you accept analytics, Google Ireland Limited processes browsing and usage data through Google Analytics 4 to produce statistics and improve the game. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw through “Change preferences” in the cookie policy. We do not link these data to your game account. The service may involve international transfers, with the safeguards set out in its data processing terms. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Retention and account closure

In Google Analytics, detailed user and event data is retained for two months, without renewing that period on each visit. This limit does not affect aggregated statistical reports or your game account and game data.

We retain your account, preferences and results while your account remains active. You can request account closure or erasure by emailing info@hashimania.com. When an account is deleted, we remove its photo, progress, results, messages and sessions. Identity and registration and closure dates are blocked from normal management to address potential liabilities arising from processing. The normal blocking period is three years after closure; a specific obligation or proceeding may require another period, which will be documented.

Answered or dismissed messages are deleted from the game system 90 days after closure. Pending messages are retained while the enquiry is handled. Daily email delivery records are deleted after 90 days. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours and recovery links after 30 minutes; expired records are removed during periodic cleanup. Sessions follow the periods in the cookie policy.

Backups have restricted access and are not used for normal operation. The provider’s backups are automatically replaced according to its rotation of two daily and two weekly copies. After a restoration, subsequent account closures and erasures must be applied before reopening the service.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction or objection to processing where applicable, and withdraw consent for the daily email. Email info@hashimania.com with your request; we will only ask for what is necessary to verify your identity. We will respond within one month of receipt. If complexity or the number of requests requires a lawful extension, we will inform you within that month and explain why. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency. We do not make decisions with legal effects based solely on automated processing.

Age and changes

Accounts are intended for people aged 14 or older. We do not currently offer registration for children under 14 with parental permission. We will review this information before introducing new data, purposes or external services.

The service

Hashimania is a personal project by Mariano Galán, free of charge and currently without advertising, payments, donations or other income. It lets you play the daily puzzle and create an account to save progress and use available features. Contact: info@hashimania.com.

Account and age

To create an account, you must be 14 or older, verify your email using the link we send or Google sign-in, and accept these terms. Choose an appropriate name, which can be an alias, and protect your password. Do not use another person’s account without permission. The daily email is optional and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Use and content

Play without manipulating results or interfering with the service. Do not use illegal or offensive names, photos or messages, or content that infringes other people’s rights. A profile photo is optional; only upload images you have the right to use. Your name and photo may appear alongside your leaderboard results.

We may review profiles and block those that breach these terms. If you believe there is an error, email info@hashimania.com so we can review it. You can request account closure through the same address.

Availability and changes

The service may be interrupted for maintenance or due to incidents. We may fix errors and change features. If a change significantly affects these terms or the use of your data, we will inform you before applying it where required. These terms do not limit your rights under applicable law.
